God beyond our naming, the coronavirus has reminded us of our mortality and creaturehood. May it also remind us that we “are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” (MLK,Jr.) With that recognition, turn our hearts and minds to the most vulnerable and all who serve and care for them. May this turning extend beyond this crisis that we may shape our lives, and the policies of our institutions, in compassion for the needy, the poor, and the vulnerable. I pray in the spirit of love reflected in diverse faith traditions.

Amen.
